Santa Fe, Granada

Sante Fe in the province of Granada, Andalusia, Southern Spain. Santa Fe de la Vega de Granada is a historic village founded by the Catholic Kings in 1491. In the village in Sante Fe, in 1492 Cristobal Colon convinced the Catholic Kings about his routes towards the Indies. They reached an agreement on the 17th of April and this agreement is known as the Santa Fe Capitulations. This was the base of the discovering of America.

Granada

The city of Granada is situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of three rivers, Beiro, Darro and Genil, at an elevation of 738 metres above sea level yet only one hour from the Mediterrean coast, the Costa Tropical. Malaga is about one and half hour away.

Alhambra and Albaicin

The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, is in Granada. It is one of the most famous items of the Islamic historical legacy that makes Granada a hot spot among cultural and tourist cities in Spain.The Alhambra Granada is really worth a visit.

Some fine examples of Moorish and Morisco constructions are preserved at the part of the city called the Albaicín.

Sierra Nevada, Granada

The Sierra Nevada, meaning "snowy range" in Spanish, is a mountain range in the region of Andalusia in Spain. It contains the highest point of continental Spain, Mulhacén at 3,479 metres (11,414 ft).

It is a popular tourist destination, as its high peaks make skiing possible in Europe's most southern ski resort in an area along the Mediterranean Sea predominantly known for its warm temperatures and abundant sunshine. At its foothills is found the city of Granada and, a little farther, Málaga and Almería.

Parts of the range have been included in the Sierra Nevada National Park.
